Branzas Anca is a painter of Romanian origin who has been living in France for several years. Her artistic career is marked by a solid academic background and extensive international experience.

Education and Training: Anca Branzas began her academic journey by earning a Bachelor's degree in Art and Design from the West University of Timișoara, from 2005 to 2008. She then pursued a Master's degree at the Bucharest Academy of Arts, from 2008 to 2010. Her dedication to art led her to complete a Doctorate at the University of Art and Design in Cluj-Napoca, which she finished in 2015.

Artistic Experience: In addition to her academic training, Anca has participated in several artist programs and residencies. In 2012, she completed an internship in Macerata, Italy, as part of her doctoral program. In 2015, she received a grant for an internship in Berlin, where she worked at the Plan B gallery. From 2015 to 2018, she was an artist-in-residence at Intact Space (Intact Cultural Foundation) in Cluj-Napoca, which allowed her to establish connections within the contemporary art world and explore various painting techniques. From December 2020 to June 2021, she was an artist-in-residence at La Fabrik, a contemporary art space in Monthey, Switzerland.

In 2023, an article about her art, written by Ileana Cornea, was published in Artension magazine (issue 178). In 2024, a book, *The Other Face of the World*, will be published in Cluj-Napoca, describing the work of Anca and eight other professionally trained artists from the University of Art and Design in Cluj-Napoca between 2002 and 2015. Artistic statement: Branzas Anca describes her art as a connection between the external world and her inner world. Although she left her country, she discovered that art has become a refuge for her, a kind of blood sister offering an escape from everyday life. She draws inspiration from Romanian folklore and folktales, as well as from the simplicity of people's lives.
